News from Uganda

Dave and Becky are missionaries in Uganda working for MAF and are supported by St Katharine’s, Holt.

Hello to our very dear friends and family,

We wanted to give you a quick update on how we are doing and the situation in Uganda. Severe travel restrictions on in place and Uganda has closed its borders

Please join us in praying for Uganda. This very beautiful country has some incredibly poor areas, and in parts of Kampala it is simply impossible to keep up the hygiene standards recommended by the World Health Organisation to keep down the spread of the virus. It is a blessing that the population of Uganda is very young, but there are also many people within the community battling pre-existing medical conditions such as HIV. That, combined with a lack of medical facilities, could cause serious consequences here should the virus arrive in force.

We hope that you are well, wherever you are, and know that you are in our thoughts and our prayers. We really do appreciate you standing with us at this time, supporting us and praying for us. We understand that there could be serious financial implications given different businesses closing and the like, so please do talk to us if there are any issues and we can discuss different ways you can continue to support us.  Love and blessings,  Dave and Becky
